Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ordering research peptides from OzTideLab — quality, shipping, payment, storage, and more.

About Research Peptides

What are research peptides?
Research peptides are short chains of amino acids — typically between 2 and 50 residues — synthesised for use in scientific and laboratory studies. They are used to investigate biological processes such as receptor binding, signal transduction, cellular proliferation, and enzyme activity. All peptides sold by OzTideLab are intended strictly for in-vitro research and are not for human consumption.
What is the difference between peptides and proteins?
The primary distinction is size. Peptides are shorter amino acid chains (typically under 50 residues), while proteins are larger, more complex structures with defined tertiary and quaternary folding. In research contexts, peptides are often used to study specific receptor interactions or signalling pathways without the complexity of full protein interactions. Read our detailed comparison guide for more.
What types of peptides does OzTideLab supply?
We supply a range of research-grade peptides including BPC-157, GHK-Cu, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, PT-141, Melanotan II, TB-500, Semaglutide, and others. Our catalogue covers compounds studied in tissue repair, skin biology, growth hormone secretion, metabolic pathways, and more. All products are supplied as lyophilised powder in sealed vials.
Are your peptides for human use?
No. All products sold by OzTideLab are strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research purposes. They are not intended for human consumption, therapeutic use, or any clinical application. By purchasing, you confirm you are a qualified researcher or acting on behalf of a licensed research facility.

Quality & Purity

What purity are your peptides?
All OzTideLab peptides are verified to ≥98% purity via independent HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) analysis. This is the gold standard in peptide quality verification. Each batch undergoes testing to confirm identity, purity, and the absence of significant impurities that could compromise research results.
What is HPLC testing and why does it matter?
HPLC — High-Performance Liquid Chromatography — is an analytical technique that separates compounds in a mixture by pushing them through a packed column at high pressure. For peptides, HPLC reveals the exact purity percentage by identifying the target compound versus any synthesis by-products. A purity of ≥98% means less than 2% impurities, which is essential for producing reliable, reproducible research outcomes. Learn more in our HPLC testing guide.
Can I get a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?
Yes. Certificates of Analysis are available on request for any product. Each CoA documents the batch number, HPLC purity result, molecular weight confirmation, and appearance. Contact us at [email protected] with your order number and we will provide the relevant CoA within 24 hours.

Ordering & Payment

How do I place an order?
Browse our product catalogue, add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You will receive an order confirmation email with PayID/Osko payment details. Once payment is received, your order ships within 1 business day.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayID and Osko — both are instant Australian bank transfer methods built into most Australian banking apps. No credit card is required and no international payment processors are involved. Payment details are provided at checkout and in your confirmation email.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum order is required. You can purchase individual vials or take advantage of our bulk research packs for better per-unit pricing. Orders over A$199 qualify for free standard shipping.
What is your refund policy?
We offer refunds for damaged, incorrect, or missing orders. Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order. Due to the nature of research chemicals, we cannot accept returns of opened products. See our full refund policy for details.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery takes 3-7 business days Australia-wide via Australia Post. Metro areas (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide) typically receive orders in 3-5 business days. Regional and remote areas may take 5-7 business days. Every order includes tracking.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping via Australia Post is A$19. Priority (Express) shipping is A$29. Orders over A$199 qualify for free standard shipping. All orders are shipped in discreet, plain packaging with no indication of contents.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, OzTideLab ships within Australia only. We do not offer international shipping at this time. All orders are dispatched from our Australian facility.
Is the packaging discreet?
Every order ships in plain, unmarked packaging — no brand names, no product descriptions, no logos. The sender name on the label is generic. Nobody handling the parcel at any point in the postal network can determine the contents from the outside.

Storage & Handling

How should I store lyophilised peptides?
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored at -20°C for long-term storage or 2-8°C (standard refrigerator) for short-term. Keep vials sealed and away from light and moisture. Properly stored lyophilised peptides can remain stable for 12-24 months depending on the compound.
How do I reconstitute peptides?
Reconstitution involves dissolving the lyophilised powder in a suitable solvent — typically bacteriostatic water or sterile water for injection. The solvent should be added slowly along the inside wall of the vial, then gently swirled (never shaken) until fully dissolved. See our complete reconstitution guide for step-by-step instructions.
How long do reconstituted peptides last?
Once reconstituted, most peptides should be stored at 2-8°C and used within 14-28 days, depending on the specific compound and solvent used. Bacteriostatic water extends stability compared to sterile water due to the preservative (benzyl alcohol). Always refer to the specific handling guidelines for each peptide.
